First Officer: Jason Haxby

Aged 37. After finishing High School, Jason worked in Marketing for a Multinational Heating Company, and then in car sales. After several years he decided to broaden his horizons, travel a little and see the world, so took a job as a butler on a cruise ship where he discovered his love for the sea and the service industry. Determined and ambitious, Jason returned to the UK to find more personalised work on pleasure yachts - his yachting debut was as deckhand on the 32m ketch, CHARLOTTE LOUISE. He subsequently enrolled with UKSA and spent the next 4 months completing his Yacht Master Offshore and this led to his first permanent role on IMPRESSION (30m Jongert). Jason started on IMPRESSION as Deckhand and did so well onboard that he was promoted to Captain, staying for 5 and a half years, and which saw him through a world trip and a refit. He left IMPRESSION last November to move on to his next challenge: working on a larger motor yacht. He brings with him to Kingfisher a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for the job, and is a well chosen addition to the crew
