Dave Allan grew up in Nelson, a coastal town of New Zealand, where he sailed from an early age. After completing college, Dave started his London City Guild Chef Apprenticeship, working in Nelson’s finest restaurants. On completion of his apprenticeship he moved to Sydney, Australia, an international cuisine capital, to continue to develop his skills and passion for excellent cuisine. Dave was Head Chef of two award winning Sydney restaurants that received excellent reviews. Dave’s training lies solidly in European cuisine, however he enjoys and shows flair cooking in Asian styles. Dave prides himself on using the freshest and seasonal ingredients to provide balanced and flavoursome dishes, while being flexible to cater to any nutritional or dietary requests.
